About
Hello!
I am a PhD student in the Department of Statistics at LMU Munich. I work under the joint supervision of Prof. Göran Kauermann and Prof. Paul Thurner. Before coming to Germany, I completed a Master’s degree in Statistics (Theoretical) at Modern College (Savitribai Phule Pune University) in India.
My research focuses on the statistical modelling of complex spatio-temporal events. The application of my current work is in conflict modelling and early warning systems. I am also interested in the properties of inference for point processes when data are subject to delays, i.e., when there is a lag between when an event occurs and when it is observed.
I enjoy reading. I recently developed a deep interest in Malagasy literature and philosophy. I have particular admiration for Andry Andraina and his book Mitaraina ny tany.
Please do not hesitate to reach out!
